Ellery’s SS 11/12 collection was sophistication and tailoring at it’s finest. The presentation took place over two levels at the White Rabbit Gallery in Chippendale, where models slowly made their way around the venue in pairs. Sharp shoulders, sheer flares, geometric cut tunics and structured jackets were all delivered with Kym Ellery’s impeccable eye for detail. The colour palette was cool and sexy; peachy hues and golden shades added femininity and elegance to the collection, while a vibrant chartreuse was the standout shade.
Ellery also surprised the auidence with a few offerings of menswear; long line knits, sharp shirting and boxy jackets in neutral, golden shades. Beautifully made, but still masculine thanks to clever tailoring and subtle minimalism. Ellery proved her cult status with this glamorous, intelligent collection.
