The Corner Shop has been a longstanding favourite of mine ever since I moved to Sydney about a year and a half ago. They have the perfect mix of international and Australian designers, incredible buyers who always make me want to walk out with half the shop, plus the most inspiring visual merchandising in town. I have to say pretty much all of their labels are worth celebrating in their own right, but since they would be nothing but mayhem, I asked the girls at The Corner Shop to choose their favourite pieces from Amy Kaehne‘s current collection.

Amy Kaehne exudes a kind of understated simplicity than so many designers – for some reason or other – seem to bypass entirely. Her collections consist of muted colour palettes, careful tailoring and beautiful fabrics which work to create the ultimate laid-back aesthetic. I’m a sucker for quiet simplicity, so it was pretty easy to fall in love with her entire collection. Think relaxed blazers, perfectly cut trousers, effortless dresses (which are neither too girly nor too showy) and the most deliciously wide-spun knits you can imagine. Plus we share the same homeland (although she hasn’t lived in NZ for years, but still). Amy Kaehne and The Corner Shop, it’s a dream team.
