Last weekend L’Oréal Professional kindly invited me to L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival to shoot backstage at a couple of the shows. It was lots of fun to meet the team at L’Oréal, catch up with the many bloggers who were also down for LMFF and watch the hair stylists work their magic.

I ducked backstage before the InStyle show, which featured some of Australia’s top designers including Bianca Spender and Yeojin Bae (who looked incredible front row in one of her own designs). Caterina Di Biase was the Hair Director of the show, and she did an amazing job creating the perfect half up-do. Whimsical, slightly messy, but still pulled back off the face; it was one of the more accessible looks I’ve seen on the runway. Watching Caterina work her magic made me realise that great hair is no happy accident, and that it’s high time I try something new. I’m feeling all inspired!
