When Brenda invited me to come behind the scenes of Benah’s AW12 campaign shoot I was more than happy to come along, particularly when she said Ben (her fiance) was shooting the campaign. Not because Ben is a talented filmmaker and director (although he is), but because Brenda is forever singing his praises to anyone who will listen, and it was super cute to see them working together.
As far as accessory campaigns go, I was completely blown away by the concept, styling and direction of the shoot. Alice Babidge’s styling was truly next level; the clothes were beautiful and carefully considered without stealing the limelight. And it was amazing to see Ben’s raw photography style, relying more on the dreamy natural light and models mood than an elaborate set-up to get a great shot.
Inspired by projections of the future and the way these inevitably shift as time goes on, the collection contemplates everything from an era of bygone idealism to an apocalyptic future. Featuring pastel pinks and pistachios alongside holographic prints, Limits is both romantic and psychedelic all at the same time. Each piece is quietly compelling, telling a story that you can’t help be intrigued by. From the rose gold cuffs, the suede brogues (for the first time ever) to the patent shoulder bags; I love it all.

I love it with only seeing those pictures. That pastel pink dress looks amazing. And I’m amazed at how much the bangles stand out against such a wonderful dress.

What gorgeous photographs, I love the flood of light and yet everything is so soft. Is that because he used the plastic wrap around the lens, I’m very intrigue.

So beautiful…The natural lighting has an equal presence as the clothing, which I like a lot…
