It feels very fitting that after my post about New Zealand last week, I’m finally wearing a Kiwi label. When I was living in Wellington I wore home grown labels religiously; it was all about Karen Walker, Kate Sylvester, World, and Zamesbi et al. But since jumping ship to Sydney, I’ve found myself embracing the local brands here. It mostly comes down to accessibility, but also being influenced by the new culture I’m immersed in.

I miss the familiarity of labels which got me interested in fashion in the first place. Which is why I’m pretty happy to be wearing these Beau Coops x Superette boots. Beau Coops have carved out a strong identity for themselves, and are killing both at home and overseas. And Suprette is a slick store which can be found in Auckland, Wellington and online. When awesome people work together, great things happen.
