My place

Spring, is that you?

Tulips have always been my favourite flowers. Growing up, the bulbs in our garden would appear as if from nowhere, reminding me that Spring (and my birthday) was on it’s way. A signal to start making the most of longer days, school holidays and warm evenings. Even now tulips still seem extra special, especially when given to me by me other half. School holidays may no longer be relevant but let’s just say I’m pretty excited about the arrival of Spring.

Two Tone

The weather has been predictably grey and cold lately, and this two-tone jumper by Amy Kaehne has been the perfect antidote. I know I’m not the only one who has fallen for Amy’s understated aesthetic – the muted colour palettes, the soft tailoring and natural fabrics -  it all just makes me want to wrap myself in the deliciously soft layers with a good book and hot cup of tea. Amy’s whole philosophy towards her label just feels really organic and natural, and I love that!

Favourite things

Two of my favourite things: pastel pink tulips and my Jordan Askill heart ring. Both are lovely to look at and make me feel just a little bit feminine. Tulips have always had a special place in my heart; growing up I would know that spring (with it’s warm weather, lunch-time swims, and most importantly my birthday) had finally arrived when the tulips in our garden began to bloom. So delicate and pretty!

Happy Lovers Day

For all the lovers out there. I’m not so keen on the sappy, commercial idea behind Valentines Day, but I do think it’s nice to reflect on how special love is every now and then. And whether you have a significant other or you’re an independent soul, there’s no harm indulging in a bit of lingerie. This delicate Pleasure State bra is the perfect antidote for everyday life; uncomplicated and a little bit sexy. Happy Valentines!
