I’m in beautiful Barcelona this week and the sun is out in force. It’s a pretty good feeling to be able to walk outside in little more than denim shorts and a loose fitting t-shirt. I’ve spent the better part of the past few days at the beach, and after a rather long European winter, it means plenty of sunscreen, wide-brim hats and good sunglasses. And these two pairs are by far my favourite of the tortoise-shell variety. One classic, one cat-eye, both the perfect golden tortoise-shell hue.

Top Three

My Wayfarers, Equipment shirt and Scanlan & Theodore leather skirt are the crux of my wardrobe. Each as timeless as the next, and perfectly interchangeable with anything and everything. I’m pretty sure I wore this leather skirt almost every other day last year. And it’s one of six leather separates I own. You can never have too much of a good thing. As for the shirt, the tailoring is a dream and the fabric is borderline transparent which keeps it from being too stale. And the Ray-Bans speak for themselves really; the ultimate kind of classic.

Miu Miu Noir

My Miu Miu Noirs. Dramatic, glamorous and full of glitter. I love the contrast of the red against my blonde hair (which is lightening by the day as summer progresses) but mostly I love how over the top they are. So much sparkle. I hope everyone had a great Christmas – that you ate lots, spent time with the ones you love and got a few gifts you really wanted. Happy Holidays!

Kimberley

I’m becoming more and more influenced by the people I meet and shoot; I often find myself walking away thinking how much I love a certain piece they were wearing, or that I have to try their favourite cafe, or find that book they mentioned etc. I met Kimberley this week at the OPSM Ice Cream Van, which is exactly as it sounds; a vintage ice-cream van filled with sunglasses (and ice-cream). I wasn’t really into the Ray-Ban youngsters, but when Kimberley put them on, I realised they were actually kind of great. Mirrored lenses aren’t normally my thing, but with the matte grey frames they don’t seem too crazy. And they have this whole 90′s, sporty-luxe thing going on which I’m all about lately. Long story short; I also want these bad boys.
