Yasmin

Shop Yasmin’s look: black bowler hat, navy blue peacoat, colour block shirt, dark boyfriend jeans here and here, navy clutch, and nude pumps here and here

How good is Yasmin’s cropped hair? I don’t know what it is, but women with short hair just seem to look cooler, and Yasmin’s chin length curls only serve to prove that point. Plus, I always love a lady in an over-sized coat and heels. There’s something about the structured masculinity paired with the feminine heels that always looks so effortessly chic.

Tiffany

Shop the look: J.W Anderson jumper (similar here and here), pleated leather skirt, knee high boots and embellished clutch

I’m a big fan of everything going on here – the graphic jumper and double dose of leather finished off with the bold red lip – it’s all so good. With her sharp black bob Tiffany looks effortlessly slick. Sometimes it really is all about the hair. And of course, the Tate Modern also makes for a conveniently complimentary backdrop.

Dark Details

Shop the look: Dion Lee blazer (similar), Faith Connection dress, Dylan Kain bag, Zara pony hair flats (similar here and here)

A few things which are always on high rotation, no surprises that they are all black. I bought this Dion Lee blazer at a sample sale two years ago and have worn it pretty much every week since (side note – sample sales in Sydney are ridiculously good – always worth your time).

Dylan Kain is a relatively new luxury accessories brand from Melbourne, and so far their pieces have all been perfectly on point. Clean shapes with just the right amount of embellishment in beautifully supple leather. It’s nice to see an accessories label nailing the allusive middle ground; bridging the gap between super expensive and super cheap (aka disposable) handbags. And then these Zara pony hair flats, which may not be the most original shoe on the block, but for their price I’m digging them anyway.
