Tassel Loafers

Dieppa Restrepo Gaston Tassel loafer in croc print

The weather (in Paris right now anyway) is actually starting to warm up, and I’m pretty excited about the prospect of wearing slightly less layers. Not even spring dresses or t-shirts, but just jumpers without thermals and loafers without socks. It’s the little things which can make all the difference.

These are in fact not my only pair of patent tassel loafers – I’m a big fan of simple, slightly masculine footwear. I picked up this pair from favourite Australian online boutique, My Chameleon. Sadly most of the sizes are already gone, but they have plenty of other super cool styles available. Otherwise try your luck here.

Indre & Taylor

Get Taylor’s look: floral blazer, ribbed sweater, Joseph shirt, Christopher Kane for J Brand jeans, red pumps

Firey locks, check shirt tied around the waist and red pointed pumps; Taylor is always the coolest lady around. She even manages to make embellished jeans super chic. Because to be fair, when I think about embellished jeans all I can think about is a time in the mid-nineties that should perhaps be left in the past. But this Christopher Kane for J Brand collab is actually pretty great. And Indre’s khaki jacket is perfection too – big fan of the boxy shape. Love that she paired it with crisp white on white.

Jennifer

Get Jennifer’s look: Bomber with leather sleeves, pleated leather skirt, black platform booties

Leather on leather is always a sure-fire win. I love the combination of textures within Jennifer’s bomber; the quilted leather sleeves mixed with the marl grey wool is super cool. And her leather skirt is the perfect balance of tough and girly, plus the shape is really quite flattering. I think it’s time to branch out and give the pleated leather skirt a whirl.

Spring, is that you?

Tulips have always been my favourite flowers. Growing up, the bulbs in our garden would appear as if from nowhere, reminding me that Spring (and my birthday) was on it’s way. A signal to start making the most of longer days, school holidays and warm evenings. Even now tulips still seem extra special, especially when given to me by me other half. School holidays may no longer be relevant but let’s just say I’m pretty excited about the arrival of Spring.
